Peyton's Birthday is today, 12/27/2008

Update to post below: Here are the pics of our 3rd DS's birthday...cake turned out good (lol)

Notes to add:

~ I didn't do the wrapping of the presents. Weylin did (pointing finger now)..lol..We know it's a Christmas wrapper but sok. Presents are presents. Plus, Weylin had a standby-call around 4 pm-ish and he didn't get back till 730pm. It was rush rush rush. Well, not really. lol... We decided to make our dinner & shower. Kids ate their dinner earlier. After we've settled down, (no dinner yet), we did Peyton's and THEN, ate our dinner....

~ Peyton is totally *in-love* with his Red, Handy-Dandy notebook. He's sleeping with it now, actually. Letsee how long that book will last. There's another green notebook he got as a Christmas present and ummm, arrrghh, he preferred his old-paperless notebook. I decided to get another green one because the old one, well, practically a goner (is that a word?...don't care..). Bummerr..lol..ohwell mommma!

~ No bow pics...will post those another day... :D

Well, I guess not much notes to add (from the look of it)..but hey, I get to write what I wanted to write....(yeah, uh huh...) =) I'm sure I'm just blabbering awaaaay....

Until then,...I bid farewell till my next post... =)

Today, is our youngest son's 3rd birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEYTON DANIEL W!! =)

We managed to buy 5 presents yesterday as we're sorta tight with the moolahs... (lol, what else is new eh?...I love my mummy..she sent some $$ for Peyton).

I'm gonna attempt to make the birthday cake: a Paw Print! (He's a die-hard fan of Blue's Clues). Sure, we could've easily buy him a cake from HEB or United Supermarket but, he already had Thomas the Train cake last year and we didn't see any offerings on Blue's Clues theme. It's ok. Let's just hope this cake won't turn out to be a flop!.. The last time I baked a cake was for our 1st DS, 2nd birthday. Elmo!..lol..Didn't turn out lame and at least Elmo was still recognizable by our DS.

Will post pics of the cake. Made some bows too while waiting on the cake to bake. Will post that too later. And oh, of course, the birthday boy's pics... :D :D

Support Our Troops bows

It's late (past 1:30am CST) but just want to post this Support Our Troops bows for one of the Grandma that I've made friends with. She's a retired Teacher and a very nice lady.

Her DD is currently deployed to Iraq and she couldn't find any bows around here. Not just any bows, mind you. The BIG bows..lol... Now, I may be a bowmaker but when it comes to the big bows that you hang/put outside, that's out of my league. I tried my best and walaaa...I did it!.. Measuring 10.5" across and with a 24" tails :D

Oki dokies, pictures are not the greatest but the bows are off to the Grandma tomorrow. I can't wait for daylight and such. I want to surprise her with her request before Christmas.

Tiny ramblings, Hand Embroidery Links & Lil' Bowsies pic

Hmmm...Weather today is not bad at all. It WAS freezing (enough) yesterday but, surprisingly, Abilene hasn't seen snow yet...yippeeeeeeeeee...lol... I don't handle cold wind & cold weather that well...brrrrrrr ..so the slight-warmth-no-snow can STAY that way... :D

Quick Link that I came across today is: Urban Threads Very interesting designs and I love it. =)

Another Link I found: Sublime Stitching

Both Links above are for hand embroidering...=) I don't do hand embroidering as I have a tiny (lol) embroidering machine. This tiny machine is actually, the Brother SE270D.

Photobucket

Of course it can only do up to a 4x4 size but, I'm satisfied with what it can do for now. Now, I wouldn't complain if I get a NEW one. *hint hint* to DH. *snort*

Also, I've made some new bows (I call it Lil' Bowsies) last night.
